Job summary

KYOCERA-AVX Components Corporation in Fountain Inn, SC seeks an experienced EHS Manager to administer the plant's environmental, safety and occupational health programs. You will ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations on wastewater, waste, air emissions, and safety processes, and lead audits and ISO conformity.

Responsibilities include accident investigations, EHS training, emergency response coordination and cross-site collaboration with Corporate EHS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• 7 years in manufacturing environmental programs, with managerial experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience for EHS staff desired.
• Interaction with regulators in writing and in person.
• Excellent communication across management levels and hourly staff.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Must meet US export controls requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer plant environmental, safety and health programs.
• Investigate accidents and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate EHS audits and API ISO environmental standards.
• Conduct periodic air and noise sampling.
• Lead EHS training and emergency response activities.
• Review plans and sign off on new equipment specifications.
• Manage hazardous waste and wastewater programs.
