Job summary

Constellation Brands, Soledad, California, is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to lead and implement all EHS programs at the Stonewall Canyon Winery site. You will provide technical guidance, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive safe operations across multiple locations and teams.

You will develop training, manage budgets, and coordinate with Engineering and Risk Management to address safety, environmental, and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in EHS Management Systems.
• Working knowledge of State and Federal safety codes, environmental rules and regulations.
• Experience with permitting and providing reports to regulatory agencies (Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, CERCLA, and RCRA).
• Ability to multi-task, demonstrate urgency, and perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Robust oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external constituencies and align with company values.
• Microsoft Office experience, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee multiple wineries and estate vineyards, hospitality and mobile bottling activities at various locations and personnel.
• Lead, develop and implement all EHS policies, procedures, programs and activities, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and CBI Standards and expectations.
• Assist supervisory and management personnel by facilitating root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action development.
• Review workplace practices to ensure EHS policies are followed and enforced.
• Provide proactive accident prevention training and advisement to management and employees.
• Develop and update safety guidelines, SOPs and best practice standards.
• Communicate EHS issues via bulletins, newsletters, memos and meetings.
• Assist EHS Leadership and Risk Management Teams with worker care follow-up.
• Organize required training across departments to raise awareness.
• Maintain required EHS records, reports and regulatory submissions.
• Perform trend analysis on information as required.
• Collaborate with Engineering on projects ensuring change management and safeguards meet regulatory requirements.
• Ensure effective functioning of site Safety & Environmental Committees.
• Use leading indicators to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Develop, train, and maintain an Emergency Response Team.
• Plan and manage the local safety and environmental budget.
• Promote best practices for employee safety, environment and social responsibility site-wide.
• Ensure an effective EHS induction program for all employees and contractors.
• Set up an Injury Management Program.
• Follow and administer all company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
