Operating within the high‑tech, advanced materials sector, you will drive a proactive safety culture, manage technical regulatory risks, and support operational excellence. This role bridges technical execution with strategic leadership, partnering closely with production, engineering, and executive teams to ensure a secure, compliant, and zero‑injury workplace.

    • Ensure total compliance with OSHA standards, EPA regulations, State DEQs, ISO 9001, and local requirements.
    • Oversee the safe handling, storage, tracking, and disposal of hazardous and non‑hazardous waste.
    • Integrate continuous improvement and sustainability best practices into daily site operations.
  • Safety Leadership & Risk Mitigation
    • Lead site‑wide safety initiatives, injury prevention plans, and operational excellence programs.
    • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for accidents and near misses, tracking corrective actions to closure.
    • Partner with production, engineering, and logistics to review processes and mitigate risk.
    • Manage internal first responder teams and maintain active relations with local fire and safety agencies.
  • Program Execution & Auditing
    • Execute facility risk assessments, Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), and process safety reviews.
    • Author and maintain EHS documentation, visitor protocols, and occupational health testing programs.
    • Manage internal/external EHS audits and maintain vital permits (air emissions, stormwater, SPCC).
    • Track, analyze, and report key EHS performance indicators and safety metrics to leadership.
  • Training & Engagement

    • Foster EHS awareness, mentoring cross‑functional teams as a trusted safety advisor.
Position Requirements

  • Certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent, and OSHA 30‑Hour card.
  • Regulatory & Government Contract Compliance: Demonstrated experience delivering in accordance with strict regulatory policies and government contractual frameworks.
  • Citizenship: U.S. citizenship or verified eligibility under FAR/DFAR requirements.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency with modern EHS software, auditing tools, and safety management databases.
Preferred Qualifications
