Job Description

The EHS Manager coordinates the implementation of the site EHS plan according to company policies and procedures. They provide information and training on safety practices to Project Directors, Construction Managers, Superintendents, and other site personnel. This position requires presence on the job site in Kalamazoo, MI during weekdays.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure OSHA compliance in collaboration with senior management.
  2. Implement OSHA programs and corrective actions.
  3. Lead safety training sessions in relevant OSHA areas.
  4. Evaluate safety programs, recommend improvements, and implement changes.
  5. Implement and maintain the site EHS plan per company policies.
  6. Provide safety policy and practices training to site personnel.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Occupational Safety, Health, and/or Environmental from an accredited institution; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience.
Additional Qualifications
  • Certifications such as ASP, CSP, CIH, CFPS, or CHMM are highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, tact, and diplomacy skills across organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Self-motivated team player capable of independent work and results-driven.
  • Proficiency with mobile devices and forms for tracking and reporting.
