Job summary

FPC Franchise is seeking an EHS Manager to lead all Health, Safety & Environmental programs at their Greenville location. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with regulations, drive continuous improvement, and foster a positive safety culture.

The EHS Manager will be responsible for managing audits, inspections, and training while partnering with leadership to uphold key HSE performance indicators. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience in manufacturing are required for this position.

  • 5+ years of HSE experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable safety regulations and standards.

Job description

Position: EHS Manager

Direct Reports: Individual contributor

Reports To: Plant Manager

Salary Range: $125k to $145k

Bonus: 15% annual bonus

Relocation: Yes

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all site Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) programs to drive continuous improvement and reduce Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR).
  • Ensure all required HSE training programs are current, effective, and completed on schedule.
  • Oversee weekly, monthly, and annual HSE inspections, audits, and compliance activities.
  • Maintain all required environmental permits, certifications, and regulatory documentation.
  • Partner with department leaders to achieve key HSE performance indicators (KPIs), including training completion, inspections, safety observations, and compliance initiatives.
  • Support business objectives by ensuring corporate HSE policies, directives, and initiatives are successfully implemented at the site level.
  • Develop and execute annual HSE objectives and continuous improvement plans in collaboration with site leadership and the Regional HSE Manager.
  • Implement new or revised HSE policies and regulatory requirements while ensuring effective communication and adoption throughout the facility.
  • Lead the site’s ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and drive environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
  • Assess HSE training needs, develop training resources, and deliver engaging training sessions for employees and leadership.
  • Lead or support investigations of workplace incidents, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Partner with Human Resources to manage Workers’ Compensation claims and support return-to-work efforts while minimizing lost or restricted workdays.
  • Foster a positive safety culture by coaching leaders, promoting employee engagement, and encouraging accountability at every level of the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • 5 + years of HSE experience in a manufacturing environment required. Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, or Chemical industry experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards including NFPA and ANSI.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A hands‑on leadership style with the ability to prioritize competing demands, work under pressure, and drive results in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
