Job summary

FPC Franchise is seeking an EHS Manager to lead and strengthen our environmental, health, and safety programs in a fast-paced chemical manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field and over 6 years of relevant experience, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $125k to $150k, plus a 12% bonus and relocation assistance.

  • 6+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience, including at least 3 years in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience managing Title V Air Permit compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience with Process Safety Management (PSM).

Position: EHS Manager

Salary Range: $125k to $150k

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly motivated Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and strengthen our site’s EHS programs in a fast-paced chemical manufacturing environment. In this highly visible leadership role, you will partner with the Plant Manager, Corporate EHS Director, and cross-functional teams to champion a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EHS professional who thrives on driving meaningful change, building strong relationships across the organization, and making a lasting impact on employee safety, operational excellence, and environmental performance. As the site’s EHS leader, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of site Environmental, Health & Safety programs and policies.
  • Serve as the site’s subject matter expert on EHS compliance and best practices.
  • Conduct routine EHS audits, inspections, and program assessments to identify risks and drive continuous improvement.
  • Analyze and trend EHS performance metrics, communicate results to leadership, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, Oregon DEQ, DOT/FRA, and other governing agencies.
  • Manage environmental permitting and regulatory reporting, including wastewater (NPDES), Title V air permits, Stormwater (1200Z), and other required environmental programs.
  • Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analyses, and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
  • Partner with operations, maintenance, and contractors to ensure safe work practices through contractor management, pre-job planning, permitting, and field engagement.
  • Deliver EHS training programs and promote employee awareness and accountability.
  • Provide EHS leadership for capital projects, equipment installations, and process changes.
  • Oversee and support the site’s Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) programs.
  • Support HR initiatives including new hire orientation, workers’ compensation, and other employee safety-related activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or closely related degree required.
  • 6 + years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience, including at least 3 years in a chemical or specialty chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience managing Title V Air Permit compliance is required.
  • Demonstrated experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, environmental permitting, and industrial safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence employees at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
