Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs in compliance with OSHA and EPA.
• Lead EHS audits, inspections, and risk assessments with corrective actions.
• Oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, and reporting.
• Deliver EHS training to employees and leadership teams.
• Monitor EHS metrics to support decisions and improvements.
• Manage emergency preparedness, response programs, and drills.
• Embed safety into daily operations with cross-functional partnerships.

EHS Manager required for Food & Beverage Manufacturer

We're looking for an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs within a manufacturing environment. This role will drive regulatory compliance, strengthen safety culture, reduce operational risk, and support continuous improvement across site operations.

The EHS Manager will have the following responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations
• Lead EHS audits, inspections, and risk assessments while driving corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
• Oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and reporting processes
• Deliver EHS training programs to employees and leadership teams
• Monitor and analyze EHS metrics and KPIs to support operational and strategic decision-making
• Manage emergency preparedness and response programs, including testing and compliance activities
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, HR, and other functions to embed safety into daily operations
• Support environmental compliance, hazardous waste management, and sustainability initiatives
• Lead and mentor EHS personnel where applicable

The ideal EHS Manager candidate will have the following skillset:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of EHS experience within a manufacturing environment, including leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and ISO 14001/45001 standards
• Experience leading EHS compliance, audits, investigations, and safety improvement initiatives
• Proven leadership, communication, and change management capabilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with EHS management systems and software platforms preferred
• Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM preferred
