Job summary

Saint-Gobain in Portage, WI seeks an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead site safety, environmental stewardship, and sustainability initiatives.

You will partner with plant leadership and corporate stakeholders to implement world-class EHS programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. This leadership role emphasizes training, risk reduction, and a culture where safety is owned by every employee.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Safety Sciences required; Master's preferred.
• CSP Certification within the last 3 years preferred.
• COSS Certification within the last 3 years preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience with a strong safety background and regulatory compliance experience.
• Experience with OSHA and federal/state reporting required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve environmental, health, safety, and sustainability programs aligned with World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles and business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain ISO-based management systems and EHS standards.
• Manage site permits and environmental compliance requirements.
• Create and deliver impactful EHS training programs to increase awareness, engagement, and accountability.
• Partner with plant managers, supervisors, and employees to proactively identify and reduce workplace risks.
• Foster an autonomous safety culture where employees actively participate in safe behaviors.
• Lead accident and incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain site-specific EHS procedures and best practices.
• Collaborate with other sites to share knowledge and drive continuous improvement.
