Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures in Gadsden, AL is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead our plant's environmental, health and safety programs. You will build a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with operations to prevent injuries and incidents.

Responsibilities include developing site-wide EHS programs, conducting audits, leading incident investigations, training staff, and coordinating with contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
• 5+ years of EHS leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations.
• Safety certifications (ASP, CSP) or eligible.
• Self-motivated with results orientation.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18000 / VPP.

Responsibilities

• Lead site-wide EHS programs and governance.
• Develop, implement, and improve safety and environmental programs.
• Promote a 'safety first' culture among all employees.
• Provide EHS advice and training to site staff.
• Conduct internal EHS audits and track corrective actions.
• Investigate EHS incidents and root cause analyses.
• Lead crisis management programs and incident response.
• Ensure contractor safety programs meet site requirements.
• Maintain environmental permits and timely reporting.
• Mentor junior EHS staff on compliance program development.
• Align environmental programs with the management system.
