Job summary

CertainTeed Siding, a Saint-Gobain subsidiary in Williamsport, MD, seeks an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, safety, and emergency response programs at the Hagerstown/Williamsport site. You will drive the annual EHS Plan, safety culture, training, audits, incident investigations, and compliance across a large, 24/7 operation with unionized workforce.

Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in EHS management within heavy industry, strong knowledge of

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Engineering, Health & Safety, or Environmental Management.
• 5+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety Management in manufacturing, unionized, extrusion/plastics/building products, or similar heavy industrial environment.
• 3–5 years of regulatory compliance, incident reduction, training, audits and frontline engagement.
• Experience with environmental permitting/recordkeeping, SWPPP, SPCC, hazardous/universal waste, air/emissions, DOT/environmental shipping, and regulatory reporting.
• Knowledge of Risk Assessment, JSA/JHA, Management of Change, LOTO, electrical safety, machine guarding, contractor safety, emergency response, and industrial hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Lead site safety strategy across production, maintenance, warehouse/logistics, engineering, quality and contractor work.
• Own and sustain site safety programs, ProAct/behavior-based safety, 4ORMS, safe work procedures and frontline engagement.
• Develop and maintain the site compliance calendar, safety training matrix, certification tracking, audit schedule and annual EHS Plan.
• Represent the site during internal, corporate, customer, insurance and regulatory audits.
• Lead incident response, investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action closure.
• Create and verify risk assessments, JSAs, work instructions, MOC reviews, contractor safety controls, machine guarding reviews and LOTO/electrical safety expectations.
• Address site risks including equipment in motion, forklift traffic, extrusion hazards, heat stress, noise, fumes, chemicals and slips/trips.
