Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an Infrastructure EHS Leader at the Evendale, OH facility to provide operational EHS support to the Facilities and Utilities team and to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations and GE management systems.

The role partners with operations to promote a strong EHS culture, drive continuous improvement, and support a 6000+ campus-wide workforce within a VPP and Title VEPA site. Traveling/union considerations may apply as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years EHS experience).
• At least an additional 3 years of experience in EHS with a focus in a manufacturing/industrial environment or GE Operations Management Leadership Program (OMLP) Graduate.

Responsibilities

• Identify and address EHS issues related to site operations, equipment and design; present EHS KPIs.
• Participate in audits, conduct observations and risk assessments to assess compliance and program effectiveness.
• Coach to closure improvement opportunities and empower represented employees to own elements of EHS programs.
• Own development of area risk assessments (Safety RAs, JSAs).
• Assist with accidents and events investigations and implement effective countermeasures.
