Job summary

American Flowform and Machining is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to lead a world‑class safety culture within our precision aerospace machining facility.

You will design, implement, and continuously elevate EHS processes to align with corporate standards, defense requirements, and government regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and DOT. The role focuses on incident reduction, risk mitigation, and employee well-being in a high‑standard production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of progressive EHS experience within a manufacturing environment (aerospace, precision machining, or heavy industrial environments strongly preferred).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to federal contracts and ITAR/EAR-regulated data.

Responsibilities

• Lead industrial safety and machine safeguarding for heavy CNC equipment.
• Conduct risk assessments and manage Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Maintain safety interlocks, light curtains, and enclosures on CNC platforms.
• Manage safeguards for high-pressure coolant systems and scrap handling.
• Maintain EHS records, OSHA logs, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Conduct hazard assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and ergonomic evaluations.
• Develop and manage emergency response and disaster preparedness plans.
• Conduct ergonomic assessments for heavy material handling and enforce PPE.
• Lead incident investigations and implement CAPA.
• Monitor EHS metrics and drive continuous risk reduction.
• Integrate safety into Lean/5S workflows and pursue continuous improvement.
• Deliver engaging EHS training and promote a Safety First culture.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and HR.
