Innova Solutions seeks a Health and Safety Coordinator to lead safety programs at our Bessemer, AL facility. This 12-month contract role will drive inspections, risk assessments, PPE management, and OSHA/EPA compliance to ensure a safe workplace for manufacturing staff.

The ideal candidate has EHS experience in industrial settings, familiarity with waste management, and training program delivery. This position is full-time/contract with competitive hourly pay. Apply via HR channels.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of environmental health and safety experience in manufacturing, industrial, or construction settings.
• Experience implementing EHS management systems and conducting safety audits.
• Knowledge of OSHA General Industry Standards and Hazard Communication.
• Experience with hazardous waste management and environmental compliance.
• Manufacturing experience with 5S and lean processes.

Responsabilités

• Lead safety inspections and risk assessments for facilities.
• Manage environmental compliance programs for steel manufacturing.
• Oversee PPE management and training on proper use.
• Coordinate health programs including hearing conservation and exposure monitoring.
• Conduct incident investigations and implement preventive measures.
• Maintain EHS documentation and regulatory records.
• Ensure OSHA and EPA compliance.
