ElevateBio is seeking an Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to launch and lead a world-class EHS program at our new biomanufacturing facility in Pittsburgh, PA. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in environmental science, occupational safety, industrial hygiene or related field.
• 8+ years of experience establishing new GMP biologics or cell and gene therapy facilities.
• Preferred credentials include Biosafety Professional (RBP/CBSP), CSP, or CIH.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgement and professional maturity.
• Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Onsite in Pittsburgh, PA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee biosafety and safety for cell and gene therapy operations, ensuring containment and proper waste disposal.
• Provide safety reviews of equipment and operations with process development, MSAT, and GMP teams.
• Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and risk evaluations for advanced therapies.
• Ensure EHS compliance related to occupational and process safety, environmental permitting, exposure protection, OSHA reporting and waste management.
• Drive development and implementation of EHS programs, inspections and training toward ISO45001 and ISO14001 certification.
