Job summary

CRH Asheville Division is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Intern for Summer 2027. You will help implement safety and environmental programs, support documentation, and assist with risk assessments on site.

The internship runs onsite around end May 2026 for 8+ weeks, full-time, with responsibilities including data analysis, site visits, and contributing to safety initiatives within a large CRH organization.

Qualifications

Working towards a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or EHS related field.
Interest in safety and environmental programs, and strong written communication.

Responsibilities

Assisting with developing, managing, and implementing safety and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulations.
Updating and maintaining EHS documentation to support standardization.
Assist with risk assessments and identify corrective and preventive actions.
Support EHS team with site visits, documentation, observations, and follow-ups.
Contribute to special projects addressing business priorities or safety standards.
Analyze data trends to prioritize focus areas for maximum business impact.
