Job summary

APAC Asheville, part of CRH, is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Intern for Summer 2027. The intern will apply classroom knowledge to support the EHS team, ensuring safety standards are communicated and goals are achieved.

Expect onsite work at the Asheville division from late May 2026 through August, with a minimum of 8 weeks, full-time. Strong writing, data skills, and willingness to work nights/weekends are valued.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or associate degree in a relevant field.
• Strong analytical and data management skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and implement safety and environmental programs.
• Update and maintain EHS documentation for standardization.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify corrective actions.
• Support site visits with documentation and follow-ups on safety initiatives.
• Contribute to projects addressing safety and environmental standards.
• Analyze data to show trends and prioritize focus areas.

Education

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or EHS related field
