Job summary

RENK America in Muskegon, MI is seeking an EHS Intern to support regulatory compliance, safety assessments and a safe, compliant workplace within our manufacturing operations.

You will assist the EHS team with policy reviews, training materials and incident investigations, while gaining hands-on experience in environmental and safety programs. This is a learning-focused role for junior or senior students pursuing related degrees.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field (EHS, Safety, Environmental).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support the EHS team to maintain a safe workplace in compliance with regulations.
• Review and update EHS policies, procedures, and forms.
• Develop safety procedures, checklists, forms, and training materials.
• Assist with plant safety programs, root cause investigations, hazards, and audits.
• Assist with environmental waste tracking and reporting.
