Job summary

RENK America is seeking an EHS Intern to support regulatory compliance, safety assessments, and maintaining a safe workplace at the Muskegon, MI facility. This position provides hands-on experience supporting manufacturing operations.

The role involves reviewing policies, developing safety materials, assisting with safety audits and environmental waste tracking, and collaborating with the EHS team. Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in EHS or related fields with strong communication skills

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field at an accredited university
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications
• Junior or Senior level

Responsibilities

• Provide support for the EHS team to ensure a safe working environment in compliance with government regulations and company policies
• Review and update EHS policies, procedures, and forms
• Help develop safety procedures, checklists, forms, and training materials
• Assist with plant safety programs, root cause investigations, hazard identification, and safety audits
• Assist with environmental waste tracking and reporting
