Job summary

Novelis in Terre Haute, IN, invites a Summer Environmental, Health, and Safety Intern to join the on-site team for about 12 weeks. You will assist with EHS processes, participate in a project, and support training and safety committees.

The role offers hands-on experience in plant EHS, documentation, and teamwork with the EHS Leader and cross-functional colleagues. Enrollment in a 4-year program and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited 4-year University.
• Must be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or recent Graduate.
• Interested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills which are essential for interacting with all levels of the organization.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation and administration of all matters related to plant EHS and security processes.
• Responsible for an EHS-related project.
• Assist with employee engagement activities including Safety Committee and training.
• Prioritize and maintain EHS related documentation.
