Job summary

H.B. Fuller Company in Simpsonville, SC offers a 12-week Environmental Health & Safety internship beginning late May through mid-August.

You’ll support safety initiatives in a manufacturing setting and gain hands-on experience with risk assessments, training development, and audits. The program includes mentorship, interactive orientation, and opportunities to collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering staff, plus projects that demonstrate impact on safety and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related EHS field.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and rollout of contractor management processes through Benchmark or similar EHS management systems.
• Convert SOPs and work instructions into interactive training modules using EZ Generator and Learning Center.
• Assist with EHS-related capital projects by gathering vendor quotes and supporting documentation and approvals.
• Develop and enhance Safety Huddle materials and safety awareness content.
• Lead EHS-focused Gemba audits and document findings in Benchmark and Work Order Management System.
