Job summary

James Hardie Building Products seeks an Environmental, Health, and Safety intern for a 12-week summer program at our Ohio facilities. You will gain hands-on experience, support process improvements, and work with mentors to develop practical EHS skills.

You will review facility drawings, assist with compliance activities, and collaborate with the EHS team to update training materials and support operational excellence in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with an expected graduation between Dec 2027 and May 2029.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Available to work full-time for 12 weeks during Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Review and update facility drawings, maps, evacuation routes, and emergency equipment locations.
• Assist with environmental compliance activities including chemical inventories, waste inspections, spill-prevention readiness, stormwater reviews, and recordkeeping.
• Collaborate with EHS team to ensure training materials reflect current policies, procedures, and best practices.
