Job summary

Dorman Products is seeking an EHS Intern in Shiremanstown, PA to assist in safety programs, audits, and policy updates. You will help develop new hire orientation materials, support safety training, and participate in incident investigations.

This internship offers hands-on experience with OSHA, EPA and NIOSH standards, data collection, and risk assessments, plus training in safety metrics and emergency plans.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and NIOSH rules and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all management levels.
• Willingness to work hours necessary to meet deadlines.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Develop and create New Hire Orientation material for onboarding.
• Assist with safety audits and inspections for compliance.
• Data collection and reporting of incidents and observations.
• Support safety training programs and toolbox talks.
• Review and update safety policies and procedures.
• Assist in incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Maintain safety data sheets and hazard communication labeling.
• Monitor PPE use and program compliance.
• Assist ergonomics assessments and risk reduction.
• Support emergency response plan drills and updates.
• Promote safety culture through bulletins and communications.
