Job summary

Dorman Products in Shiremanstown, PA is seeking an EHS Intern to support safety training, audits, and policy updates while pursuing an Environmental Science or related degree.

You will help collect incident data, assist with hazard assessments, maintain SDS, and support drills, PPE management, and ergonomics reviews. This internship offers hands-on learning and exposure to OSHA/EPA/NIOSH compliance in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
• Familiar with OSHA, EPA, NIOSH regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Willing to work hours needed to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop New Hire Orientation materials for onboarding.
• Assist safety audits, inspections and hazard assessments.
• Collect, analyze and report safety data and incidents.
• Support safety training sessions and orientations.
• Review/update safety policies to comply with regulations.
• Investigate incidents and near misses and identify root causes.
• Maintain SDS and hazard communication labeling.
• Assist PPE management and ergonomics assessments.
• Support emergency response planning and drills.
• Promote safety culture with safety bulletins and communications.
