Job summary

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college program in occupational health and safety or related field.
• Ability to work independently after receiving direction and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Basic understanding of safety and industrial hygiene principles and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Summer Internship 2027 from May to August.
• Work closely with the site Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Director and IH/OH Supervisor to learn the role of an EHS Specialist in a production environment.
• Assist in updating site IH programs and developing site risk assessments (4E-HC) and the annual sampling plan.
• Conduct IH monitoring based on the annual sampling plan to assess occupational exposures, document results, develop reports, and communicate with production area owners and associates.
• Complete other IH or safety-related projects or tasks as assigned by the EHS Director or IH/OH Supervisor.
