Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety professional to support a busy Cedar Rapids manufacturing campus. This onsite role focuses on hazard identification, risk reduction, training, and regulatory compliance across facilities, maintenance, and projects.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead EHS programs, and help sustain a proactive safety culture in a dynamic aerospace environment. Relocation may be considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• University degree and 5+ years in Environmental, Health and Safety or related field.
• Ability to identify hazards, assess risk, and develop practical risk-reduction solutions.
• Ability to interpret EHS regulations and apply company standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide EHS support for management of change, contractor management, construction projects, and facility modifications.
• Partner with Facilities, Maintenance, Operations, Engineering and other teams to mitigate EHS risks in manufacturing and construction.
• Oversee high-risk EHS programs (LOTO, work at heights, hot work, powered industrial vehicles, electrical safety, machine guarding).
• Conduct field observations, risk assessments, inspections, and program reviews for continuous improvement.
• Investigate incidents with teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver EHS training and communications for employees and contractors.
