Meet Life Sciences in San Diego is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety and Facilities Manager to oversee EHS programs, biosafety, chemical management, and environmental compliance at a new 20,000-square-foot facility. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in EHS, safety, compliance, or facilities in regulated industries
• Hands-on vendor management: onboarding, scheduling, performance tracking, invoicing
• Proficient in maintaining audit-ready records, permits, and corrective actions
• Knowledge of OSHA/Cal/OSHA and California Fire Code 2025
• Experience with medical device manufacturing regulatory programs (21 CFR 211/820, ISO 13485)

Responsibilities

• Oversee EHS, biosafety, chemical management, and environmental compliance programs
• Manage environmental compliance activities and vendors (hazardous waste, air quality, stormwater, reporting)
• Maintain permits, records, and audit-ready files
• Lead safety and risk management, including inspections and training
• Coordinate facility projects, relocations, and equipment moves
• Partner with HR and cross-functional teams to improve workplace experience
