Job summary

Primetals Technologies USA in New London, OH is seeking an EHS Engineer/Specialist to ensure day-to-day compliance with the EHS program and to support ISO and EPA certifications. The role reports to the VP of Quality and EHS and collaborates with a General Manager in New London to align with strategic goals.

Required is a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and at least two years of EHS experience, plus strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and at least two years in an EHS role or equivalent.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret business and regulatory materials and write reports.
Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions using analytical methods.

Responsibilities

Enforce safety and environmental policies in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
Train supervisors, managers and staff on safety practices and chemical handling.
Lead a cross-functional team to audit safety and environmental compliance.
Self-audit facilities and implement corrective actions to improve safety.
Support injury investigations and regulatory reporting requirements.
Maintain records and analyze incident data to reduce future occurrences.
