Job summary

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is seeking a full-time EHS Engineer to join our St. Marys, PA site reporting to the Corporate Manager of EHS.

You will maintain records, ensure OSHA compliance, manage safety programs, conduct audits, and support environmental and risk management initiatives.

This role requires a Bachelor’s in Health, Safety, or Environmental fields or 5 years of related experience and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health, Safety, or Environmental field (and/or 5 years’ experience)
  • Proficient with MS Office and safety system software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and detail orientation

Responsibilities

  • Maintain records for Safety & Health programs, Workers’ Compensation, and OSHA compliance.
  • Monitor health and safety activities and ensure OSHA compliance.
  • Support risk management initiatives and insurance programs.
  • Conduct environmental evaluations, sampling, and permit compliance reporting.
  • Administer Workers’ Compensation program and plant safety systems.
  • Investigate incidents, prepare root-cause analyses, and update safety policies.
  • Conduct audits, risk assessments, and equipment safety evaluations for new/modified equipment.
  • Provide health, safety, and environmental training including new hire orientation.
