Job summary

Golden Aluminum in Fort Lupton, Colorado is seeking a Health and Safety Engineer to lead EHS policy training, inspections and reporting. You will develop assessment reports, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions across a 24/7 plant environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in environmental/industrial engineering or safety, 2+ years in manufacturing EHS, and strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA/ANSI regulations. Travel and plant-floor presence are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental, industrial, safety engineering or similar.
• Minimum of two years’ experience as an EHS professional in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ANSI and Colorado Department of Health and Environment.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams to reach goals.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Velocity/Intellaquest experience is beneficial.
• Strong verbal and written communication, detail orientation and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Train employees on EHS policies and practices.
• Conduct inspections, risk assessments and identify hazards.
• Generate health and safety assessment reports.
• Provide intervention strategies for EHS hazards.
• Monitor processes and employee engagement on safety.
• Maintain incident and environmental reporting and safety manuals.
• Report findings to management and regulators, stay current on EHS trends.
