Job summary

Solventum in Brookings, SD is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Intern to support the coordination and execution of EHS compliance initiatives across the site. You will help strengthen programs in industrial hygiene, safety and incident investigation, and employee engagement under guidance from the EHS team.

Qualifications include currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher and relevant coursework or internship experience in EHS.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
Experience with environmental health and safety course work and internship experience considered.

Responsibilities

Supports coordination and execution of EHS compliance initiatives across the Brookings site, including MOC, ergonomics, powered industrial vehicles, process safety, fall protection, LOTO, machine guarding, and emergency response coordination.
Supports documentation on plant systems to ensure compliance with Solventum requirements, including OSHA regulations, EHS Management Systems, and other applicable programs.
Assists in achieving Lean Six Sigma targets by leading EHS projects, delivering required EHS training to plant personnel, and participating in site audits.
Participates in site processes to ensure compliance and continuous improvement of the EHS program.
Provides EHS support in the design and installation of new or modified equipment.
