Job summary

TSMC is hiring an ISEP Safety Engineer to help develop and maintain ESH programs at the Phoenix AZ Fab. The role focuses on implementing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, shaping the ESH culture, and ensuring regulatory compliance across the site.

You will provide technical guidance, coordinate training, and assess hazards, working with facilities and contractors to minimize environmental and safety risks in semiconductor manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; preference for engineering or science in safety, chemical, mechanical, or environmental fields.
• 3-5+ years in environmental or safety engineering and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing preferred.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team to resolve ESH issues.
• Knowledge of current safety and loss control practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and improving ISO 14001 Environmental Protection and ISO 45001 OH&S management systems.
• Establish and enhance the ESH culture for the AZ Fab and ensure compliance with all ESH regulations.
• Provide technical, regulatory, and process guidance on ESH issues.
• Develop contractor ESH management programs and facilitate ESH trainings.
• Conduct Job Hazard Assessments, site evaluations, and inspect waste management status.
• Communicate inspection results and recommendations; organize Fab site Safety Committee activities.
