Job summary

Philips is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer for the Ontario, CA site. The on-site role focuses on FDA-regulated manufacturing in a ISO 13485 environment, delivering safety training and leading regulatory compliance programs.

You will manage permits, incident reporting, MOC on new equipment, PPE procurement and safety budgeting, reporting to the Plant Operations Manager. This is an office role with full-time on-site presence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of EHS experience in an industrial setting.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO and other regulations.
• Ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities (written and oral).
• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Safety Management preferred or equivalent experience.
• Must meet minimum physical, cognitive and environmental job requirements with/without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety orientation and trainings to employees and support weekly/monthly safety meetings.
• Manage environmental permits and relate regulatory reporting; maintain SDS sheets and OSHA 300 log.
• Support workers' compensation administration; perform Management of Change on new equipment; budget safety capital expenditure.
• Report to Ontario Plant’s Operations Manager.
