Job summary

SMF, an Etnyre International Company, located in Anderson, SC, is seeking an EHS Engineer to help create and maintain a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace. You’ll collaborate across the organization to strengthen our safety culture and ensure every team member returns home safely each day.

The role focuses on regulatory compliance, safety program administration, and continuous improvement through training and emergency readiness, with opportunities for career growth in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a safety-related field or 5 years of experience in a safety-related role.
• Relevant certifications or training in environmental, health, and safety disciplines.
• Strong working knowledge of regulatory requirements within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Elevate safety awareness through training, education, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Administer and oversee EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
• Lead emergency response efforts, including first responders and emergency equipment readiness.
• Manage regulated waste streams and assist with reporting requirements.
• Support additional initiatives and responsibilities as assigned.
