Job summary

The Director of Environmental Health and Safety leads the EHS program for a data center campus and supporting offices, setting safety strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving a strong safety culture across operations, maintenance, construction, logistics, and office environments.

You will partner with Facilities, Operations, HR, and Legal to manage risk, keep the site audit-ready, and coordinate with an Environmental Compliance lead handling deep permitting and environmental

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a closely related field is required.
• One or more of CSP/CIH/CHMM/CSHM or equivalent EHS credential is required.
• 10+ years of progressive EHS experience in high-risk environments.
• 5+ years in a senior EHS leadership role with multi-function responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead campus EHS strategy, policies, and objectives.
• Maintain EHS management system for risk assessment, training, inspections, and incident management.
• Establish leading and lagging safety metrics and report to leadership.
• Ensure OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and local regulatory compliance for data center environments.
• Oversee hazard identification, risk assessments, and emergency response planning.
• Define safe work practices and review contractor safety programs.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
