Job summary

8Fleet, a growing LA-based technology and logistics startup, is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support health, safety, and compliance programs across multiple sites. The role will work with the HR Generalist and Operations teams to ensure OSHA compliance, workers’ compensation procedures, workplace safety initiatives, and drug testing programs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety, HR compliance, workers’ compensation, or a related field.
• Knowledge of OSHA and California workplace safety regulations.
• Experience managing workers’ compensation claims preferred.
• Experience coordinating drug & alcohol testing programs preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Health and safety compliance: support and maintain programs, ensure OSHA-related compliance, conduct routine site inspections.
• Workers’ compensation administration: manage claims, coordinate with carriers and providers, monitor trends.
• Drug testing: coordinate TrustLine and Live Scan processes, onsite collection as needed, maintain records.
• Safety audits and inspections: perform audits, identify hazards, implement corrective actions.
• Account & vendor management: support relationships with workers’ comp, drug testing, and safety vendors.
