Job summary

IDEX in Farmington, CT is seeking a proactive Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support and improve environmental, health, and safety programs within our manufacturing operations. This role is highly visible on the manufacturing floor and works closely with employees and leaders to strengthen compliance, reduce risk, and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

Qualifications

Required Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Three to five years’ experience supporting environmental, health, or safety programs in manufacturing, industrial, or regulated environments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

Conduct routine safety and environmental inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
Support environmental compliance programs (hazardous waste, wastewater, stormwater, chemical management, recycling).
Maintain EHS records, permits, training documentation, and regulatory files.
