Job summary

Border States Industries, Inc. in Fargo, ND is seeking a DC EHS Coordinator to strengthen our safety culture through incident investigations, training delivery, and routine inspections.

You will work with Operations leadership and the safety committee to identify root causes and drive continuous improvement across the distribution center. A background in EHS and strong communication are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's in environmental health and safety, occupational safety, or a related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution safety role.
• CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Lean/Six Sigma, OSHA, and PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certification preferred.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and English communication skills; proficient PC with Windows, Microsoft Office and SAP software.

Responsibilities

• Participates in lean process improvement initiatives and ergonomics assessments.
• Recommends workstation or workflow changes that reduce risk or physical strain.
• Participates in the initial investigation of safety incidents alongside Operations.
• Helps determine root cause as part of a committee, alongside action items to remove barriers.
• Coordinates required safety training and recordkeeping.
