Job summary

Dakota Bodies seeks an Experienced EHS Site Leader to drive safety culture and environmental controls at the Watertown, SD site. You will lead EHS programs, partner with local teams, and implement procedures to ensure compliance with laws and company standards.

The role requires 3–5 years in EHS management within manufacturing, a BSP/BSC in safety, and CSP/OHST preferred. Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Gensuite and MS Office are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline.
• Mathematical, reasoning, and analytical skills.
• Professional certifications CSP or OHST preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA regulatory requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team collaboration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong visible daily presence in operations to promote safe behavior and practices.
• Provide daily guidance in EHS programs at employee, supervisor, and management levels.
• Evaluate facility EHS conditions, identify risks, and develop action plans.
• Perform incident investigations and assist in corrective actions.
• Conduct job hazard analyses and recommend preventive actions.
• Develop and deliver training on EHS programs including new employee orientation.
• Analyze and maintain EHS records, metrics, and reporting (Gensuite).
• Lead workers' compensation program responses and injury management.
• Manage hazardous waste responsibilities and disposal coordination.
• Chair safety committees/councils and coordinate safety initiatives.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
