EHS Coordinator – Facility Safety & Compliance
We are seeking a qualified and proactive EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) Coordinator to lead compliance efforts and promote a culture of safety across all operational areas of an industrial facility. This role is critical to ensuring full OSHA compliance, delivering hands-on training, and driving continuous improvement through safety leadership and operational accountability.
·Ensure the facility operates in full compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety protocols
·Develop, implement, and sustain effective safety programs tailored to warehouse and industrial operations
·Conduct forklift training and certification for new and existing operators in compliance with OSHA standards
·Provide CPR training to staff and maintain updated emergency response procedures
·Perform regular safety audits, risk assessments, and facility inspections with documented follow-ups
·Lead investigations for safety incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
·Maintain all safety records, reports, and required documentation for regulatory review
·Deliver weekly/monthly safety reports and lead safety committee discussions or toolbox talks
·Serve as the subject matter expert on-site for all EHS-related inquiries and initiatives
·Support continuous improvement by integrating Lean Manufacturing principles into safety practices and visual management systems
Qualifications:
·Certified Forklift Instructor – Required
·CPR Certified with the ability to train others – Required
·Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and implementation of 5S, kaizen, and visual safety systems
·NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) Safety Certification – Preferred
·Previous experience in an EHS leadership role in an industrial or logistics setting
·Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
·Proficient with safety reporting, auditing, and compliance tracking systems
·Able to work independently and enforce policies in a professional and constructive manner
