Job summary

Salute in Gallatin, TN is seeking an EHS Coordinator to improve environmental, health, and safety for mission-critical, hyperscale data centers on campus settings. The role leads sustainability initiatives, promotes safety culture, and protects the health of employees, customers, suppliers and visitors.

Primary duties include facility inspections, safety audits, incident investigations, risk analysis, and developing training for engineering, data center, and property teams.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree required.
  • Experience collaborating with teams.
  • Familiarity with NE T Zero Waste concepts and programs.
  • Experience with commercial building operation and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local EPA, OSHA, DOT regulations.
  • Accident investigation experience.
  • Knowledge of energy conservation.
  • OSHA 30 Hour Training.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communications.
  • Experience working in a team environment but able to work alone with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, time management, and planning ahead.
  • Ability to pivot between competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • All other duties and initiatives as assigned.
  • Support the delivery team with selection of EHS representatives for projects as required.
  • First point of offsite escalation in the event of a safety incident on a project site; support and advises the EHS representative and the delivery team during incident investigations and root cause analyses.
  • Performs periodic project site walks and inspections with construction managers and third parties.
  • Identify and evaluate operational EHS risks and assess the impact to the business.

The E H S Coordinator w ill b e r e s p o n s i b l e f o r i mp r o v i n g t h e e n v i r o n m e n t a l , h e a l t h , a n d s a f e t y f o r m i s s i o n c r i t i c a l , h y p e r s c a l e da t a ce n t e r s i n a c am p u s s e tt i n g .   • Complete comprehensive r e por t s of f i n d i n g s i n c l ud i n g c orr e c t i o n p l a ns t o e nsu re c o m pla n ce.
  • Analyze risk scenarios to de t ermi n e t h eir p ot e n ti a l im p a c t .
  • Design and implement s afe ty - rel a te d p r o g r a m s to mi t ig a te ri s k s ce na ri o s.
  • Work with s i t e l ea d e rs to develo p tr a i n i n g i n iti a ti v e s f or e n g i n eeri n g, da t a c e n t e r , a n d property l e lev prof e ssio n a l s.
  • Advocate safe changes in the f a ce of n e w i n f r a st u c t u r e, n ew t o ol s , a nd n ew pr o cesses.

  • Supports E HS tech n ical su b mi ss io ns for c u s to m er S O Q s a n d R F Q s.
  • Reviews Contractor Method of Procedures and Safety Plans for com p li an ce wit h cus t o m er requirements, and O S HA or i n t er n a tio na l e qu iv a le n t s tanda r ds.
  • Provides E H & S t raining t o s t a ff a n d co n s tr u c tio n m an a ge r s.

  • Evaluate green energy a l te rn a tive s a nd pa r t n er wit h o u t s i d e re s o u rce s w h ere applicable to implement me a n i n g f u l c ha n g e t o e n ergy us e .
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and ann u a l sus t a i n a b ili t y re p orti n g to t h e s i te m a n a ger a n d c us t omer as need e d .
