About the Role

Role Purpose

Provide support to EHS initiatives at Fort Worth Distribution Center

Bring EHS closer to the business – provide targeted efforts, support site safety teams, be a shared business partner (integrated within facility) to provide on-site support

Responsibilities

  • Monthly reconciliation of EHSS (Environmental, Health, Safety, Sustainability) data
  • Support performance reporting
  • Conduct safety observation, inspections, and assessment reports regularly, depending on the length of the project
  • Schedule and oversee safety walks and inspections before or during each project to analyze safety risks
  • Educate employees on safety standards and expectations as well as safe practices and behaviours
  • Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace
  • Assist team with investigate accidents that occur onsite and review corrective actions
  • Maintain documentation of the company's safety procedures, accidents, and related events
  • Act as a liaison between management and other cross functional OPS departments.
  • Assist daily troubleshooting of any EHS activity
  • Assist with any duties assigned by their manager
  • Assist with facilitating Safety /New Hire Training, Onboarding Experience
  • Coaching of team member observations
  • Conduct incident investigations of non-conformances using the required corrective action and root cause analysis
  • Develop relationships in the local community to further EHS awareness
  • Assist with administration of first aid to team members with minor injuries
  • Assist EHS Manager with workers compensation management (record keeping, medical visits, collection of information, post-accident drug screens)
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor EHS programs in alignment with OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Lead safety training sessions for employees and contractors to reinforce safe practices.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update environmental permits, records, and documentation.
  • Oversee waste management and recycling programs to ensure compliance with environmental policies.
  • Perform routine safety audits and workplace inspections to maintain a hazard-free environment.
  • Manage PPE compliance and monitor safety equipment inventory.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure EHS protocols are integrated into daily operations.
  • Support emergency response planning and organize drills.

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • OSHA 30 hours
  • ASP, preferred
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Word and EHS software
