Job Title : Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist

Key Responsibilities :
- Demonstrate visible leadership in safety across the manufacturing facility.
- Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures aligned with local, state, and federal regulations, with emphasis on OSHA standards.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Coordinate and deliver EHS training programs, including new hire orientation and ongoing safety / environmental education.
- Manage incident reporting and investigations, ensuring prompt follow-up and preventive measures.
- Promote a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.
- Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and oversee proper hazardous material handling and disposal.
- Monitor and minimize environmental impacts, including waste, emissions, and energy consumption.
- Stay updated on changes to EHS regulations and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies, conducting inspections and addressing compliance matters.
- Manage all aspects of injury / incident communication, follow-up care, workers' compensation, and restricted duty accommodations.
- Procure and maintain inventory of safety / environmental supplies and equipment.
- Lead the company’s Green Team initiatives, conducting regular meetings and driving sustainability efforts.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
- Certification preferred (CSP, CIH, CHMM, or similar).
- 1 to 3 years of relevant EHS experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and proven regulatory compliance experience.
- Proficiency with safety management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and train employees at all organizational levels.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled in problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
