Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental in Austin, TX is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Consultant to deliver on-site EHS consulting and staff augmentation for clients across higher education, life sciences, healthcare and industry sectors. You will assess hazards, implement controls, conduct trainings, and help write safety programs.

The role reports to a Regional EHS Director and requires 2+ years of EHS experience, a relevant degree, OSHA training, and willingness to travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Occupational Health, Safety, or related field.
• Completed two or more industry-recognized training courses (OSHA 10 or 30, ABSA, HAZWOPER, DOT/IATA HAZMAT Transportation).
• Working towards meeting the requirements of and obtaining one professional designation/certification (CSP, CHMM, CIH, etc.).
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Measure occupational and environmental hazards using calibrated equipment or samples.
• Assess effectiveness of engineered control systems such as fume hoods.
• Inspect machinery/equipment for safety compliance.
• Conduct workplace safety inspections and PPE assessments.
• Identify hazards and help implement control measures.
• Investigate accidents and recommend remedial action.
• Communicate safety issues and corrective actions to client personnel.
• Conduct routine EHS trainings (orientation, hazard communication, forklift trainings).
• Write reports and OSHA recordkeeping forms.
• Assist in developing health and safety systems, policies, and manuals.
