Job summary

ERM is hiring motivated Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) consultants to join our Performance & Assurance team in the Bay Area, California and Seattle Metro, Washington. This is a full-time, 12-month limited-term role with potential extension.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing and supporting OSHA state requirements, SOPs, job hazard analyses, emergency response plans, behavioral safety programs, and contractor safety management, plus familiarity with research laboratory

Qualifications

• 3+ years in EHS support with emphasis on health & safety.
• Experience recording and writing detailed technical data and reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to handle fast-paced consulting work.

Responsibilities

• Perform compliance audits to assess client compliance with health, safety, or environmental regulations and management systems.
• Identify follow-up corrective actions to close audit findings.
• Provide technical assistance on EHS projects, including lab safety, chemical safety, machine guarding, laser safety, robotics safety, hazardous materials, waste, and EHS auditing.
• Develop and implement EHS compliance procedures, plans, permits, and reports.
• Support clients’ efforts to improve safety through training and field coaching.
• Manage tasks within scope, budget, and schedule, ensuring quality of deliverables.
• Build client relationships and nurture repeat business; support ERM Partners and Project Managers.
• Collaborate with ERM colleagues to deliver projects.
