Job summary

Universal is seeking an EHS professional to lead the Contractor Safety Program across construction sites in Orlando, ensuring compliance with ANSI/OSHA standards and corporate policies. You will oversee pre-construction activities, site inspections, incident investigations and coordination with project teams and general contractors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in EHS or Construction Management or 5–7 years of relevant experience, with strong communication, risk assessment and leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS or Construction Management or 5–7 years relevant work experience.
• 5–7 years’ relevant construction/project management experience.
• Experience with managing Technical staff.
• Experience with plans review and regulatory interpretations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Construction Specialist to ensure compliance with UO EHS Contractor Safety Program through regular meetings and site inspections with the Project Team and document results.
• Review concept packages and consult on development of construction documents; manage pre-qualification process and evaluate against EHS protocols.
• Consult with Project Manager and Facility Management to review design phase submittals impacting EHS programs and coordinate comments.
• Manage overall EHS punch list and close out process for the facility; participate in post mortem.
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities per policy and training.
