Job summary

ERM in Ewing, NJ is seeking a motivated Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance Specialist to join our team. You will partner with project managers and leaders to deliver high-quality environmental compliance and sustainability solutions for global clients, supporting risk management and regulatory requirements.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in engineering or related field, 2–5 years of environmental experience, strong data and communication skills, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, geology, occupational health and safety, or related discipline or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance on EHS compliance, sustainability, site investigation and remediation, and due diligence transaction projects
• Prepare plans, permits, and reports for hazardous waste, air quality, storm water, NPDES, and wastewater programs
• Perform EHS compliance assessments and implement follow-up corrective actions
• Support development of EHS compliance and management system programs
• Provide on-site and remote EHS compliance support to clients
• Perform Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments for property transactions
• Conduct environmental fieldwork, including groundwater, soil, sediment, and surface water sampling, as well as ecological field studies
• Conduct inspections to verify EHS compliance at client sites
• Manage multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule expectations while ensuring high-quality deliverables
• Collaborate with ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers to deliver exceptional client value
