Job summary

Dollar Tree's Environmental Health & Safety team seeks a Compliance Specialist to support nationwide regulatory programs and drive safety improvements across our store portfolio. You will collaborate with stores, regulators, and cross-functional partners to track inspections, update policies, and help ensure safe operations.

The role emphasizes data analysis, audits, and governance with NAVEX, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in Safety, Regulatory Compliance, Environmental Health, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Experience analyzing data, trends, and compliance-related information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Review, track, and follow up on regulatory inspections and findings.
• Ensure timely responses to regulatory agencies and provide required certifications of abatement.
• Serve as a contact with inspectors and regulatory agencies regarding compliance issues.
• Monitor compliance activities and maintain documentation supporting obligations.
• Identify emerging challenges and communicate impacts to Store Operations and leadership.
• Maintain databases and reporting tools to track inspections, corrective actions, penalties, and savings.
• Analyze compliance trends and identify opportunities to strengthen programs.
• Generate regular reports for Store Operations regarding inspection activity and compliance performance.
• Contribute to development and implementation of long-term compliance strategies.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assist in updating policies and programs.
• Partner with Store Operations, Facilities, and Property Management to resolve safety issues.
• Conduct audits and update safety training materials to align with regulations.
