Job summary

Google is seeking an EHS Cluster Manager to lead the Global Safety Management Framework across our Bay Area campus. You will partner with cross-functional teams—from Engineering to Facilities—to implement proactive safety solutions in high-stakes environments like R&D labs and electrical infrastructure.

You will help integrate safety and resiliency into daily operations, manage enterprise risk, and support leadership with critical, data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS).
• 7 years of experience in robotics/automation risk, electrical safety NFPA 70E, or environmental compliance (CUPA/BAAQMD).

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate safety solutions based on proactive risk assessments to maximize worker protection in R&D and lab settings.
• Oversee the creation of educational materials, program documentation, and digital tracking systems to ensure safety solutions scale across the Bay Area cluster.
• Partner with site leads to embed safety protocols into daily operations, ensuring minimal friction and maximum compliance.
• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments, draft high-level reports for leadership on site safety and health.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations for incidents or near misses, identifying corrective actions and ensuring they are tracked to completion.
