Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America is seeking an EHS Assistant to support environmental, health, safety, and regulatory compliance within the facility. The role focuses on proactive safety culture, OSHA/EPA compliance, and operational excellence across departments.

You will work with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and HR to implement improvements, coordinate drills, maintain permits, and support capital projects while promoting a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Experience in team settings and open communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist leadership with plant safety, environmental, and risk-management programs.
• Drive a zero-injury culture through safety initiatives and training.
• Support OSHA compliance, inspections, and recordkeeping.
