Job summary

TE Connectivity's Environmental Health & Safety teams ensure safety in the workplace, adhering to health, safety and hazardous material standards and regulatory requirements.

The role involves developing training, conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations, and acting as a plant resource for EHS activities at the Wilsonville site. A Bachelor’s in EHS or equivalent experience is required, with strong regulatory knowledge and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or equivalent related work experience.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Strong knowledge of EPA and OSHA laws and regulations.
• Strong MS Excel and Word experience.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Must continually seek improvement and effect change in operating systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively via email, instant messaging, and verbally.
• Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
• Demonstrated ability in conducting audits and inspections of all EHS aspects at a site.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to develop multiple solutions and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develop written health and safety programs and related training materials, including delivering training.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to all levels of management and employees.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and all regulations including wastewater permits and hazardous waste management.
• Facilitate risk assessments and quantify risks with action plans for risk control.
• Serve as plant resource for EHS activities.
• Coordinate inspections of safety procedures, equipment and programs to ensure regulatory compliance and risk reduction.
• Participate in incident investigations and advise management on corrective actions; collaborate with other groups to address deficiencies.
• Assist and/or conduct environmental, health and safety compliance audits and prepare clear findings reports.
